Built by Listeners, for Listeners
We believe every book deserves to be heard, not in a single flat voice, but as an experience.
Our Story
It started with a simple frustration. As avid fans of books and web novels, we wanted to listen to stories that had never been made into audiobooks. Most of what we loved simply was not available anywhere. When we tried generating audio ourselves, one flat voice was hard to follow for long sessions, especially in the background. Nothing on the market solved both problems, so we built a simple script over a few late nights to turn our files into audio.
Getting audio from our files was only half the win. In the stories we cared about, dialogue comes from different people, and with one voice every character sounded the same. We kept losing track of who was speaking, and long chapters turned into a blur. That led us to ask: what if AI could read the text, spot speakers, and give each character their own voice automatically?
That idea became Lyraboo. Upload a PDF or EPUB you already own, and the app separates narration from dialogue, identifies speakers where it can, and assigns voices automatically. The books that never got an official audiobook, and the ones that did but never felt right in a single voice, can finally be something you want to keep listening to.
