Lyraboo finds every character, decides who says each line and gives each one a distinct voice, with a narrator for the rest.
The first chapter is ready in a minute or two; the text scrolls along like lyrics, each line labelled with its speaker.
Lyraboo reads the whole book and separates narration from dialogue. It works out which character says each line — even in long exchanges with no “he said” — and gives every character their own voice, which they keep from the first chapter to the last. A narrator carries the description. So an argument sounds like two people arguing, and a crowded scene stays easy to follow by ear.

Produced dramas — the kind with sound design and a cast of actors — exist for a small number of bestsellers. Lyraboo gives the full-cast treatment to everything else: the fanfic you love, the indie series with no audio edition, the classic nobody has recorded with a cast.
No music or sound effects, and voices are cast automatically rather than chosen. Android only, needs a connection, free for one hour a month. How the casting works is explained in multi-voice audiobooks.
The things people notice in the first chapter — and the reasons they stay.
Lyraboo’s AI finds every character in the book and casts a distinct voice for each — automatically, for every book. You always know who is speaking, and dialogue sounds like a real conversation instead of one narrator doing all the parts. Most reading and text-to-speech apps use one voice for everything.
Under the player, the book scrolls with the voice the way song lyrics do in Spotify: words light up as they are spoken, each line shows who says it, and tapping any word jumps there.
Chapters, speed from 0.25× to 3×, background playback with lock-screen controls, and it picks up exactly where you stopped.
Pick an EPUB, PDF or TXT and there is nothing to set up: the first chapter is ready in about one to two minutes, and the rest generate while you listen.
Novels, fanfiction and web-serial exports, indie ebooks, study PDFs — plus over 1,000 English classics already in the app.
One free hour of listening every month, no card needed. Hours are spent once per chapter — replaying is always free.
It can give a book a full cast: Lyraboo detects every character in a book you upload and gives each one their own AI voice, with a narrator for description, so conversations play out between different voices. It does not add music or sound effects — it is a full-cast reading of the text as written.
A classic audiobook is one narrator reading the whole text. An audio drama is performed by a cast, often adapted, with music and sound effects. A full-cast audiobook sits between them: every word of the book, with different voices for the characters — which is what Lyraboo makes.
Fiction with a lot of dialogue: fantasy, romance, mysteries, fanfiction and web serials. Non-fiction is read by a single narrator.
No. Lyraboo casts the voices automatically and keeps each character’s voice for the whole book; they cannot be hand-picked.
Upload a book you own and let the app turn it into a multi-voice audiobook automatically.
